MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Janelle Garber posted a double-double and West Chester opened its 2007-08 campaign with its second win in as many days at the Millersville Tip-off Tournament at Pucillo Gymnasium Saturday afternoon by defeating Alderson-Broaddus, 62-47.
Garber scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead West Chester (2-0). The Golden Rams ran out to a 36-21 lead by halftime over Alderson-Broaddus (1-1). Katie Kline scored 10 points and registered nine rebounds while senior team captain Catherine Andrews scored 10 points and recorded four steals.
West Chester will put its undefeated record on the line Tuesday evening in the Golden Rams' home opener at Hollinger Field House against University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (USP).
